Moderate magnitude but deep 5.7 earthquake strikes 54 km northwest of Campo Gallo, Argentina in early evening

The event was classified by the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the National Seismic Surveillance Network (RéNaSS) of France which listed the earthquake at a magnitude of 5.3. A third agency, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), reported the same 5.2 magnitude earthquake.
Cities near the epicenter where the earthquake could have been felt as very weak tremors include Campo Gallo (5,500 inhabitants) located 54 km from the epicenter, El Hoyo (2,200 inhabitants) 75 km, Taco Pozo ( 8,500 inhabitants) 83 km and Tintina (3,900 inhabitants) 97 km.
